Show a Shopify estimated delivery date on your product pages

QuickEye adds a Shopify estimated delivery date to your product pages. As a result, shoppers see when an order should arrive before they buy. QuickEye calls this feature EDD (estimated delivery date), and it is part of the same app as order tracking.

  • Growth and Enterprise plans

EDD comes with the Growth plan at $19 a month and the Enterprise plan at $49 a month.

What Shopify shows on its own

Shopify has its own way to show an estimated delivery date. With it, you can display delivery dates at checkout, so customers know when to expect their orders.

There are two kinds. First, Shopify works out automated delivery dates from your shipping performance. Second, manual delivery dates use the fulfillment time and transit time that you set.

Fulfillment time is the gap between a customer placing an order and you handing the shipment to a carrier.

Both kinds appear at checkout. QuickEye shows a date one step earlier, on the product page.

The estimated delivery date on the product page

Checkout comes late in a visit. Therefore, QuickEye puts the date on the page where shoppers decide.

At checkout, with Shopify

Shopify’s delivery dates appear once a shopper reaches checkout. By then, they have already chosen a product and added it to the cart.

On the product page, with QuickEye

QuickEye’s EDD shows the date on the product page. So shoppers know when the order should arrive while they are still deciding.

Think of someone buying a gift, for example. They need the parcel before a birthday, so the arrival date decides the purchase. With an estimated delivery date for Shopify product pages, that shopper gets the answer before adding anything to the cart.

The same goes for anyone ordering for a trip or an event. In short, the delivery question comes up before the order, and the product page is where QuickEye answers it.

Which QuickEye plans include the Shopify estimated delivery date

Two QuickEye plans include the Shopify estimated delivery date feature: Growth and Enterprise. Prices are in USD, and both plans start with a 7-day trial.

Growth$19500 orders a month and 1,000 delivery estimates, all Boost features, EDD, dashboard, prioritized support$0.06 per additional shipment, plus $1 per 1,500 delivery estimates
Enterprise$491,500 orders a month and 1,500 delivery estimates, all Boost features, EDD, advanced analytics, personalized support$0.05 per additional shipment, plus $1 per 1,500 delivery estimates

The Free Forever and Boost plans do not include EDD. However, both include order tracking, so you can start there and move up later.

After the order: tracking on your own page

The delivery date answers a question before the sale. After the sale, customers want to follow the parcel.

Shopify covers the basics here too. Once you add a tracking number to a fulfilled order, customers can follow the delivery through the order status page, shipping emails and the Shop app.

QuickEye is also a Shopify order tracking app. It gives customers a branded tracking page that covers the carriers you ship with. Because tracking and EDD are parts of the same app, you install once.

Delivery questions that still reach your inbox take agent time. For that reason, our post on returns explains the cost of support tickets.

Shopify estimated delivery date FAQ

Does Shopify show an estimated delivery date by default?

Shopify can display delivery dates at checkout once you set them up. Automated delivery dates come from your shipping performance, while manual delivery dates come from the fulfillment time and transit time that you set. To show a date on the product page, you can add an app such as QuickEye.

How do I show an estimated delivery date on a Shopify product page?

Install QuickEye from the Shopify App Store and pick the Growth or Enterprise plan, because those two plans include EDD. QuickEye then shows the estimated delivery date on the product page, so shoppers see it before they buy. In contrast, Shopify’s own delivery dates appear at checkout.

Is there a Shopify estimated delivery date app?

Yes. QuickEye is a Shopify app that shows an estimated delivery date on the product page. It also tracks orders after they ship, so one app covers both jobs. EDD comes with the Growth plan at $19 a month and with the Enterprise plan at $49 a month.

What does EDD mean?

EDD stands for estimated delivery date. It is the date a shopper can expect an order to arrive. In QuickEye, EDD is the feature that shows this date on the product page. Therefore, shoppers see it before they buy.

How much does EDD cost in QuickEye?

EDD comes with two plans. Growth costs $19 a month and includes 500 orders a month and 1,000 delivery estimates. Enterprise costs $49 a month and includes 1,500 orders a month and 1,500 delivery estimates. In addition, extra delivery estimates cost $1 per 1,500, and both plans have a 7-day trial.

Does QuickEye also track the order after it ships?

Yes. QuickEye is also an order tracking app for Shopify stores. Customers follow each shipment on a branded tracking page with multi-carrier tracking. Because tracking and EDD are parts of the same app, the Growth and Enterprise plans give you both from one install.
